Actual Salary £35,412 - £39,862 per annum (Grade 10 SCP 24 - SCP 29)
This job is full time and is offered on a permanent basis.

The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious professional to step into a key pastoral leadership role. Whilst the role is demanding, you will receive guidance and support from a positive, like-minded team of colleagues.
As a Head of Year, you will hold strategic responsibility for the day-to-day management, organisation, and pastoral care of your assigned year group. High expectations of students’ conduct, punctuality and uniform are all essential and the successful applicant will be able to support young people whilst also holding them to account.
You will work under the direct guidance and line management of the Head of Inclusion & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). In this role, you will be a vital bridge between students, families, and the school's leadership, ensuring that student well-being, inclusion, and positive behaviour remain at the heart of our community.
Responsibilities and requirements will include:

Relentless and positive focus on high standards of attendance and behaviour

Leading the pastoral care of all pupils in the year group and developing a strong year group ethos

Use of data to identify students who may need additional support
-
Leading and supporting a group of form tutors.
Working alongside the SEND, Attendance and SLT teams to ensure that all students receive the support they need to flourish as a member of our community

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has:

Experience of working in an educational setting and improving outcomes for young people

A strong background in educational support, youth work, social care, or a similar pastoral/safeguarding role.

Experience and understanding of behaviour management

A proven track record of providing pastoral support
Working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday which may be subject to change according to business needs.
