Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced CPCS/NPORS 360 Driver to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This role is vital in supporting construction and excavation projects by operating heavy machinery efficiently and safely. As a CPCS/NPORS 360 Driver, you will be responsible for maneuvering a 360-degree excavator to assist with site preparation, material handling, and other essential tasks. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise in operating excavators will ensure projects progress smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate a 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently across various construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Assist with site clearance, excavation, loading, and material movement to support project timelines
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs or potential issues, ensuring optimal performance
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate tasks and optimize workflow
- Maintain accurate logs of machine usage, inspections, and any incidents or anomalies during operation
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including PPE usage and site-specific procedures
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting minor equipment issues when necessary
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for 360 excavator operation, demonstrating competence and compliance with industry standards
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or similar environment
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance checks
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for versatility on-site tasks
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus and safety awareness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
