Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with licensing laws and company standards
- Serve food items efficiently, ensuring presentation and quality meet established guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Restock supplies as needed, including glassware, utensils, and beverages
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience and encourage repeat visits
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including responsible alcohol service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments or relevant experience is required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a lively setting
- Being reliable and flexible is a requirement.
