About the role:
This role is solely office based at the Advonet office at The Unity Business Centre for 22.5 hours per week.
You will be dedicated to working in an inclusive way, working together with all The Advonet Group services and the wider management team.
You will be expected to:
As a member of the First Contact Team, you will act as the first point of contact for clients, professionals and staff, ensuring all enquiries and referrals are handled professionally, accurately and in a timely manner. You will be expected to uphold the rights and interests of the people we support, demonstrating empathy, professionalism and a strong commitment to advocacy principles as well as following Advonet’s values.
Key expectations of the role include:
· Providing a welcoming, professional and responsive service to all clients, staff and external stakeholders.
· Managing incoming referrals and enquiries, ensuring information is recorded accurately and processed efficiently.
· Working collaboratively with colleagues within the First Contact Team to ensure workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.
· Using a range of computer systems, databases and software confidently and accurately to maintain records and support service delivery.
· Communicating clearly and effectively with clients, colleagues and partner organisations, both verbally and in writing.
· Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and organisational policies.
· Demonstrating excellent attention to detail when recording information, managing referrals and completing administrative tasks.
· Developing and maintaining a good understanding of the organisation's services to provide accurate information and guidance.
· Supporting continuous improvement by identifying issues, sharing information and contributing to team objectives.
· Undertaking training and development opportunities to build knowledge of advocacy services and organisational procedures.

The successful candidate will be approachable, organised and compassionate, with strong administrative and communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals. Full training will be provided to help them develop the knowledge and skills required for the role.
