We're looking for a Site Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Hours: 45 hours per week

KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. As a Site Engineer (Geotechnical), you'll play a vital role in managing the technical compliance of the project to design specifications, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a significant infrastructure project within a live MOD facility.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Engineer (Geotechnical), you'll be working within the KierBAM team, supporting them in delivering this major redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and maintaining effective systems to record completed work
- Participating in quality checks and surveys, and assisting with site safety, environmental, and quality inspections
- Recording and testing of workmanship and materials including drilling, grouting, and anchoring operations
- Setting out works to be constructed within allowable tolerances from a provided site control
- Providing engineering support to overcome technical challenges and ensuring the workforce understands setting out information
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Engineer (Geotechnical) is great for you if:
- You hold an academic qualification at Level 3 or above (HNC, HND, or Degree)
- You have experience with survey equipment (GPS, Total Station) for setting out and survey work
- You have experience in geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection, and testing
- You're familiar with Quality Management Systems and confident writing RAMS
- You hold a Supervisor HSE test qualification and CSCS White AQP Card
