Langage Farm is a well-established and expanding, family owned and run, dairy product manufacturer supplying many national retail chains and is currently looking a delivery driver to join our expanding despatch team.
Hours will be seasonally variable with increased hours in the summer and decreased hours in the winter. Your average over the year will be around 45 hours a week. You will be driving a company van. Start times are generally early morning to ensure traffic is missed and deliveries are made to customers in good time. Occasional work in our chiller area and freezer will be required to meet the needs of the business.
The right candidate will need to have their own transport to get to our site, be a team player and ideally have Level 2 food hygiene, although this is not essential as training can be given on site. You will need to be punctual, efficient and work well under pressure.
Duties
· Ensuring that our products are despatched on time, in the correct quantities, in date and in the correct format.
Accurately Pick products to order from Picking Lists and preparing goods for delivery
· Ensuring that your vehicle is kept clean, tidy and hygienic at all times.
· Accurately Pick products to order from Picking Lists and preparing goods for delivery.
· Perform daily and weekly vehicle checks.
· Picking your orders and packing them on a per customer basis alongside the rest of the dispatch team.
· Delivering to customers on a daily round.
· Handle cash and ensure this is correctly counted and given to the administration team.
· Any other duties as per reasonable request.
· Ensuring food safety plans/HACCP are adhered to.
· Ensuring a food safety culture is maintained.
· Store finished products neatly and ensure stock is rotated.
· Build pallets with an eye for detail and quality
· Count inventory with excellent accuracy

· Full UK driving licence.
