The Role
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer growth plans across key retail and convenience accounts. You will lead commercial relationships, identify growth opportunities, negotiate effectively, and deliver profitable sales growth for both Kirsty's and our retail partners.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational excellence, combining strong commercial acumen with exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
Working closely with internal teams across Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, Finance, NPD and Operations, you will help shape customer strategy and ensure flawless execution of plans.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with key retail and convenience customers.
- Create and deliver customer business plans that drive profitable growth, market share and brand visibility.
- Lead annual negotiations, JBPs, promotional planning and pricing discussions.
- Identify opportunities to increase distribution, sales and category performance.
- Deliver and exceed sales, profit and volume targets.
Strategic Growth
- Utilise market, category and shopper insights to identify opportunities and develop compelling customer propositions.
- Build long-term growth strategies that create value for both Kirsty's and our retail partners.
- Work collaboratively with Category and Marketing teams to develop winning customer presentations and innovation launches.
- Support the successful execution of new product launches and range reviews.
Commercial Excellence
- Manage customer P&Ls with a clear focus on profitable growth.
- Analyse sales performance, promotional effectiveness and customer profitability.
- Produce accurate forecasts and maintain strong financial discipline.
- Ensure excellent attention to detail across pricing, promotions, forecasts and customer administration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships across all areas of the business.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure excellent customer service and availability.
- Collaborate with Finance to manage budgets, forecasts and profitability.
- Support a positive, high-performance team culture where ideas and continuous improvement are encouraged.
Desirable
- Experience working with a category-leading FMCG brand.
- Blue-chip FMCG experience.
- Knowledge of chilled and/or frozen food categories.
