Vehicle Prepper
Location: Livingston, West Lothian
Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:30 (working hours can be discussed at interview)
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy automotive bodyshop in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a Temp to Perm position within a modern workshop, preparing a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards prior to paint.
We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals with previous bodyshop experience, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Prepper, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
- Repairing minor imperfections to ensure a smooth surface finish.
- Removing and refitting vehicle components where required.
- Ensuring all preparation work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Using tools, equipment, and materials safely and effectively.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are completed on time.
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper within a bodyshop or accident repair centre is essential.
- Good knowledge of vehicle preparation techniques and repair processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
