Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the effective running of Rosehaven Care Home, home to 24 residents. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care, and leading a team of care professionals. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a compassionate environment where residents' needs are prioritised and tailored care plans are implemented with professionalism and empathy.
Duties
- Assist the Care Home Manager in the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and policies.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
- Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans, ensuring residents’ individual needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, maintaining accurate records at all times.
- Support residents with daily activities, promoting independence whilst providing necessary assistance within a caring environment.
- Monitor health and safety procedures within the home, conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
- Assist in managing administrative tasks such as rotas, documentation, and reporting to ensure smooth operational functioning.
Requirements
- Proven deputy or senior care home experience.
- Some knowledge of CQC regulations and legislation.
- Experience with medication administration and understanding of relevant healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience within a care home or home care setting.
- Excellent organisational skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
- Minimum Level 3 health and social care qualification.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills. This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults through expert leadership and compassionate care delivery.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Deputy/Senior and can demonstrate a track record of good care home leadership.
Pay: £14.67 per hour
