Vehicle Co-ordinator / Progress Chaser

The Role
Johnsons Hyundai & Honda are looking for an organised and proactive Vehicle Co-ordinator / Progress Chaser to join our busy dealership in Slough.
This is a key role within our Sales team, responsible for managing the preparation and movement of new and used vehicles from arrival through to customer handover. Working closely with the Sales, Service, Valeting and SMART Repair teams, you'll ensure vehicles are prepared to the highest standards, available for sale promptly, and delivered on time to our customers.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the preparation of new and used vehicles from arrival to retail-ready status.

Work closely with the Sales and Service teams to ensure vehicles progress efficiently through the preparation process.

Prioritise sold vehicles to ensure they are fully prepared and ready for customer handover on time.

Liaise with workshop, valeting, SMART repair technicians and external suppliers to coordinate all preparation work.

Carry out vehicle inspections on arrival and complete final quality checks before vehicles are released for sale or collection.

Maintain accurate vehicle records and update dealership systems throughout the preparation process.

Coordinate vehicle movements around the dealership and between sites when required.

Help maintain an organised forecourt and attractive used car display, ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standards.

Support the smooth flow of vehicle traffic across the site to maximise operational efficiency.

Undertake driving duties as required to support the Sales Department.

Work to agreed preparation timescales while maintaining excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience within the motor trade in a similar role (preferred but not essential).

Be highly organised with excellent time management skills.

Have strong communication skills and enjoy working with multiple departments.

Be able to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.

Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in vehicle presentation.

Be confident using IT systems.

Be self-motivated, reliable and customer focused.

Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
