The opportunity has arisen for an existing member of staff to apply for the position of Neighbourhood Housing Manager within the Housing Management Service.
This is an important leadership role within the newly established Housing Management structure and provides an opportunity to lead a team of Neighbourhood Housing professionals responsible for delivering high-quality neighbourhood and tenancy management services across the borough.
As Neighbourhood Housing Manager, you will provide leadership, direction and operational oversight to a team focused on neighbourhood ownership, resident engagement, tenancy management and early intervention. You will play a key role in ensuring residents receive excellent services, that tenancy obligations are upheld and that neighbourhood issues are addressed proactively and effectively.
You will lead and support Neighbourhood Housing Lead Officers and Neighbourhood Housing Officers, providing clear operational leadership, performance management and professional guidance. You will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered consistently, that residents remain at the centre of everything we do, and that the Council continues to meet its regulatory, statutory and corporate responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing housing services, leading teams and delivering positive outcomes for residents. You will be confident operating within a complex environment, working collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, be able to manage competing priorities and demonstrate a strong understanding of housing management, safeguarding, resident engagement, risk management and service performance.
This role provides an opportunity to help shape and embed the new Neighbourhood Housing service, supporting the successful implementation of the revised Housing Management structure and helping to deliver positive outcomes for residents and communities across Dacorum.
Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.
A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for the successful candidate.
