We're seeking a dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our compassionate and diverse team - a group of professionals committed to supporting individuals in West Kent with compassion.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
Location: West Kent
Full Time Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed Term for 12 months from start date
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
About the role:

Undertake initial physical and mental health screening for people who access our services and ensure appropriate sign posting/referral to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.

Provide education, health promotion and screening for blood borne viruses (BBV) and provide Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations under a patient specific direction (PSD) when indicated.

Undertake phlebotomy as required, ensuring adherence to identified pathways for blood sample labelling, collection, obtaining results and signposting.

Ensure that there is good communication of treatments offered, treatment progress and outcome of any investigations to other members of the clinical team.

Actively promote and participate in working with partnership organisations to develop and sustain effective treatment pathways.

The post-holder will contribute to the service to ensure that individuals who use our services consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and to the highest professional standards.

Working with colleagues in the service to deliver a community opioid and alcohol detoxification plan utilising a care co-ordinated approach to service user care.
About you:
-
Experience of working as an HCA, demonstrating the full competencies of the role and completed the Care Certificate
- Competent to undertake ECG’s, phlebotomy, and vaccinations.

Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.

IT literacy including proficiency in word processing and data entry knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work effectively with partnership agencies.
