Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Children's Support Worker to join our team. This vital role involves providing compassionate care and support to children in residential settings, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive environment where young people can thrive. Previous experience in childcare or related fields is advantageous, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
Duties
- Offer personalised support to children, assisting with daily routines and activities to promote their emotional and social development.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring each child's unique requirements are met effectively.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by supervising children during various activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Facilitate communication between children, families, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Support children's educational needs by encouraging participation in learning activities and assisting with homework when required.
- Drive children safely to appointments, activities, or outings as necessary, maintaining compliance with road safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote social skills, independence, and overall well-being.
Skills
- Experience working with children in childcare or support roles is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record to facilitate transportation duties.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare practices.
- Ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual children's needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
