Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a high standard of personalised care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Help with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation in accordance with care plans
- Administer medication as instructed and monitor health conditions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive care
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or working within a care home environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely is preferred
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience when working with vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a professional approach

Pay: £12.82-£13.00 per hour
