Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis)

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our dedicated teams across our Residential and Community Services in Newcastle upon Tyne, supporting adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions, learning disabilities and a range of additional needs.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will support individuals to achieve their goals and enjoy greater independence.
Your role will include:
- Providing person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.
- Supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and additional support needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and the development of everyday skills.
- Supporting people to access community activities, appointments, education and social opportunities.
- Helping individuals maintain relationships and participate in the things they enjoy.
- Supporting with personal care when required.
- Following individual support plans and positive behaviour support approaches.
- Supporting with medication following appropriate training.
- Promoting health, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Working alongside colleagues, families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Completing accurate records and contributing to support planning.

Previous experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs is beneficial but not essential.
We welcome applications from experienced Support Workers as well as people looking to start a rewarding career in care. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
A full UK driving licence is desirable, particularly for community-based support roles.
