Clear Choice Recruitment are working with an established, independent specialist operating across the South West, supporting customers, insurers, loss adjusters and other professionals when properties and possessions have been affected by fire, flood, water and other incidents.
We are looking for an experienced Damage Restoration Technician to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality damage restoration services across both residential and commercial properties.
The Role:
As a Damage Restoration Technician, you will respond to properties affected by water, fire, smoke and other forms of damage. You will assess affected areas, assist with emergency mitigation and help return properties and their contents to a safe and usable condition.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Carrying out surveys and assessments of affected properties.
· Supporting water extraction, drying and decontamination works.
· Using specialist drying and restoration equipment.
· Assisting with the cleaning and restoration of contents and possessions.
· Supporting the removal, packing, transportation and storage of affected contents where required.
· Working with insurers, loss adjusters, customers, builders and other professionals.
· Maintaining accurate photographic records and documentation to support insurance claims.
· Carrying out damage restoration work to a high professional standard.
· Working independently while also supporting fellow technicians on more complex projects.
About You:
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience in water damage restoration, ideally with IICRC, BDMA or equivalent qualifications.
You will need to be:
· Experienced within damage restoration, property restoration or a closely related environment.
· Comfortable working in customers' homes and commercial properties.
· Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
· Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual duties.
· A confident communicator who can deal sensitively with customers who may be experiencing difficult circumstances.
· IT literate, with the ability to use basic spreadsheets and complete documentation.
· Numerate with a reasonable standard of written and spoken English.
· A clean UK driving licence holder.
· Comfortable working as part of a wider team when required.
