Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Follow detailed schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure precise assembly and repair procedures
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely to handle large parts or equipment during maintenance or repair work
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and service performed for each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering client questions professionally
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery, welding, and tool use
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
