Reach Recruitment are recruiting experienced Dispatch Operatives to join the team at Cranswick Gourmet Sausage in Hull (HU7) for their busy peak season.

We have several Dispatch Operative positions available to support increased demand from September through to the end of December 2026.
You’ll be joining an established food production operation, working as part of a busy team where accuracy, reliability and attention to detail are essential.
Please note: The advertised rate includes holiday accrual, meaning holidays are accrued and paid as part of the hourly rate rather than as separate paid annual leave. Unless pre booked holidays are not permitted and no leave will be available during December 2026.
Location: HU7, Hull
Contract: Temporary – September to December 2026
Hours: 6:00am – 6:00pm or 6.00pm – 06.00am
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Pay:
- Days - £15.12 per hour (£13.49 basic + £1.63 holiday accrual)
- Nights £16.80 per hour (£14.99 basic + £1.81 holiday accrual)
As a Dispatch Operative, you will play an important role in making sure customer orders are picked accurately and dispatched on time.
Your duties will include:
- Accurately picking product orders using hand scanners
- Working towards daily productivity and accuracy targets
- Reporting shortages, overstock and any issues to the management team
- Maintaining product quality and full traceability
- Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Meeting deadlines within a fast-paced working environment
- Following all Health & Safety, Food Safety and company quality procedures
What are we looking for?
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous dispatch or warehouse experience, preferably within food production
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience of warehouse systems, processes and procedures
- An understanding of KPIs and productivity targets
- A flexible approach to duties and working hours
- The ability to work accurately under pressure
- The willingness and ability to work in a chilled meat production environment
