We are seeking an enthusiastic and spiritually grounded Youth Minister Teacher to support the Christian development of children, teenagers and young adults within our church. This role combines biblical teaching, discipleship, mentoring and youth ministry leadership. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping young people understand Scripture, develop their faith and apply Christian principles to everyday life.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Bible lessons and Christian teaching for young people.
- Lead youth Bible studies, discipleship sessions, prayer meetings and other youth ministry activities.
- Mentor and provide spiritual guidance to children, teenagers and young adults.
- Develop programmes that encourage spiritual growth, Christian character, leadership and service.
- Help young people understand and apply biblical principles to contemporary challenges.
- Organise and support youth events, outreach activities, workshops and church programmes.
- Build positive and appropriate relationships with young people, parents, guardians and church leaders.
- Identify opportunities for young people to participate actively in church life and ministry.
- Work with church leadership and volunteers to develop the youth ministry.
- Follow appropriate safeguarding procedures and maintain suitable records where required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in youth ministry, Christian education, teaching, mentoring or a related role.
- Good knowledge of the Bible and ability to communicate Christian teaching clearly to different age groups.
- Strong communication, teaching, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, encourage and mentor young people effectively.
- Patience, compassion, maturity and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, volunteers and church leadership.
- Relevant ministry, theology, education or youth-work training is desirable.
- Willingness to comply with applicable safeguarding requirements and church policies.
