Overview:
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests in a variety of dining settings, including restaurant, bars, and event spaces. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness and organisation, and ensuring a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide recommendations and answer questions regarding menu items.
2. Service Delivery:
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and decorations.
- Ensure proper presentation and quality of food and beverages before serving.
- Help with the setup of buffets and service stations.
3. Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
- Assist in washing dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed.
- Ensure that all health and safety standards are met.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Assist in training new staff on service standards and protocols.
5. Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor stock levels of food and beverage items and report shortages to management.
- Handle stock delivery checks and placement of delivered stock in the appropriate storage areas.
- Ensure that the stock is handled correctly and with stock rotation in mind.
- Look after staff equipment, including sorting table linen for collection or after delivery, laundering chef uniforms, tea towels etc.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Reasonable strength for the movement of relatively heavy objects (furniture, cases of stock, etc)

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
