What we are looking for:
This role would suit a gap year student.
Hard working, responsible, enthusiastic individual who is willing to work weekends and evenings as well as day time shifts, approximately 25-30 hours a week.
Kitchen experience and barista experience is preferred but full training will be provided.
We are a hardworking and strong team, we a looking for someone who has a commitment to excellence and pride in their work but also has a friendly confident warming personality who will fit in well with great customer service and be an excellent team player.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking, training will be provided.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces.
- Stock and rotate ingredients and supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Handling cash and taking orders via the phone and till
- Serving customers, keeping front of house clean
- Good friendly customer service
- making coffees, teas and cold drinks and desserts
Skills:
- Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food preparation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, but not required
