As we continue to grow and expand our service offering in our Active Fire & Security division, we're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Account Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and playing a key role in driving business growth. You'll work with a broad portfolio of customers while helping to deliver innovative fire and security solutions across a range of sectors.
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities across our fire and security portfolio, including:
- Fire Detection Systems
- Fire Suppression Systems
- Intruder Alarms
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Integrated Security Solutions
You'll act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service while helping them maximise the value of our full range of solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Building Strong Customer Relationships:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients.
- Conducting regular customer review meetings.
- Identifying opportunities to expand services across managed accounts.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries and contract renewals.
- Developing a deep understanding of customer requirements, future projects, and spending plans.
- Supporting accurate forecasting and resource planning through strong account knowledge.
Driving Business Growth:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across target sectors including commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare.
- Preparing and delivering tailored proposals and presentations.
- Achieving sales targets across service contracts and installation projects.
- Promoting and cross-selling the full range of Checkmate services.
Supporting Project Delivery:
- Working closely with operational, engineering, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Confidently discussing technical solutions with customers.
- Participating in site visits and surveys when required.
Maintaining Compliance & Standards:
- Ensuring customer documentation remains accurate and compliant.
- Maintaining CRM records and sales activity information.
- Supporting industry best practice and compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Knowledge:
- Proven experience in an account management, business development, or sales role within the fire and security industry.
- Strong understanding of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical documentation and site drawings.
Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (FIA, BAFE, NSI or equivalent) are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
