Solidworks CAD Technician
We are a fast-growing bespoke staircase design and manufacturing company with a fantastic opportunity available to join our design team. This role will be primarily office-based, with occasional travel to client sites as required.
As a Staircase Designer, you’ll use bespoke staircase design and CAD software (training provided) to create stunning, fully custom staircases that meet client requirements — from initial concept through to final production drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create staircase concepts and visuals to support the sales process
- Produce general assembly drawings for client sign-off
- Prepare detailed production drawings for manufacture
- Generate accurate technical CAD drawings and 3D models ready for production
- Assist with CNC programming of drawings
- Collaborate with clients, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless project delivery
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience within joinery, architecture, or a related manufacturing industry
- Confident presenting and explaining design ideas to clients
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Highly motivated with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus)
- Strong IT and numerical skills
- Able to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
