We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and flexible Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a predominantly warehouse-based role, with responsibility for supporting the day-to-day operation of our busy warehouse. The successful candidate will also undertake local deliveries when required, with occasional nationwide deliveries to retail stores across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties (Primary Role)
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Picking, checking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Assisting with stock takes and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures.
- General warehouse duties as required to support the team.
Driving Duties
- Carry out local deliveries and collections as required.
- Undertake occasional nationwide deliveries, including to retail stores across the UK and Ireland.
- Load and unload furniture and other goods, ensuring they are handled with care.
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company delivery vehicle.
- Follow all road traffic regulations and company driving procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse operative and/or delivery driver role.
- A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- The ability to undertake heavy lifting and manual handling safely.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet operational requirements, including occasional overnight stays for longer-distance deliveries.
