Reporting to the Chief Education Officer for Newport City Council, this important role is an opportunity to make an impact on the outcome for learners across an ambitious city which continues to evolve.
This position is a diverse, demanding and rewarding leadership role. You will be a strong leader with professional credibility and significant experience working in one or more statutory education phases (age 3-11/11-16).
Candidates must have worked across a local authority or region in a leadership role or had successful Headteacher experience in the last year. You will be responsible for setting and achieving successful outcomes with 57 schools across the city linked to pupil attendance, vulnerable groups, learner wellbeing and the prevention of NEETs. Previous experience of influencing and impacting a range of educational settings is essential.
