We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet established standards
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while aligning with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences
- Manage food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency
- Train staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Organise staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively
- Uphold a positive work environment that encourages creativity, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant experience at a senior level is essential; hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service times while maintaining high standards of quality
- Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and front-of-house staff

Pay: £27,508.61-£49,212.98 per year
