E-commerce Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and versatile E-Commerce Assistant to assist with daily online store operations across our Shopify and Etsy platforms. This hybrid operational role balances digital tasks, like product photography, listing creation, and customer care. With physical tasks, including precise order fulfilment.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can multi-task efficiently, maintain high data accuracy, and continually seek process improvements to drive our online sales growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Supporting the day-to-day administrative running of our online sales
- Order Fulfilment: Pick, securely pack, and accurately label customer orders for direct, on-time dispatch.
- Content Creation: Photograph new stock items and create high-quality product listings across Shopify and Etsy.
- Inventory Control: Regularly audit and check stock levels to maintain database accuracy and prevent overselling.
- Customer Service: Monitor and promptly respond to customer inquiries, emails, and platform messages with professionalism.
Required Experience and Skills
- Platform Experience: Proven experience with E-Commerce websites is a must. Etsy would also be a huge advantage.
- Communication: Excellent written communication skills for customer service and copywriting.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in entering product data.
- Problem Solving: Ability to solve shipping delays, website glitches, and customer complaints calmly.
- Time Management: Strong organisational skills to balance daily administrative tasks.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to prioritise workload effectively, contribute ideas for improving processes, and proactively identify opportunities to apply additional skills and strengths within the role.
Growth Opportunities
- We are open to appointing the right candidate on either a part-time or full-time basis. For those starting part-time, there is a clear opportunity to progress into a permanent full-time position in the near future as the role and business develop.
- Etsy Channel Ownership: Candidates will have the opportunity to scale their responsibilities and step into a leadership role, taking complete autonomous control over the Etsy department.
Your own transport is required as our office location is not served by public transport.
Start and finish times can be discussed at interview. This position would suit someone looking for a career.

Pay: Starting £13.50 per hour
Expected Hours: 24 hours over three days
