Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's needs and preferences.
- Maintain clear and open communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update records regularly.
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments when required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor health conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare team.
- Promote a safe environment by following health and safety protocols and assisting with general household tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving transportation duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic IT skills for recording care activities and updating electronic records.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and communicate compassionately.
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous.
- A genuine desire to support others and improve their quality of life.
