We are looking for an organised, proactive and highly motivated Rural Secretary / Administration Support professional to join our busy Rural Professional team based at our Head Office in Shrewsbury.
This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting senior members of the Rural Professional department. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the team whilst delivering a high level of customer service and administrative support.
This position would suit somebody who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys taking responsibility, can effectively prioritise workloads and is confident using their own initiative.
Experience within the rural, agricultural or property sector would be advantageous.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Professional Valuations and the Head of Rural Professional Services, duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Rural Professional team
- Answering and handling telephone calls professionally and efficiently
- Managing team diaries and coordinating appointments
- Audio typing and preparation of reports, valuations and correspondence
- Raising invoices and assisting with credit control and debt chasing
- Managing and maintaining accurate client files and records
- Registering and updating client information on company systems
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and third parties
- Assisting with property launches, brochures and online property marketing
- Booking property viewings and managing feedback
- Supporting the administration of rural property management systems
- Managing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes in accordance with company procedures and HMRC requirements
- Providing reception cover where required
- Supporting the wider team with a diverse and changing workload

The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Be able to work accurately under pressure within a busy office environment
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Be confident prioritising workloads and managing multiple tasks
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently
- Be highly professional and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Have a positive and flexible attitude
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience within the rural, agricultural, property or professional services sector would be advantageous
