JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
We are looking for a hardworking and driven sales person (or trainee salesperson) to join our retail team to help us continue to grow our Fire & Stove sales. Great IT skills are essential in this role.
Full training will be given on our outstanding range of Fires & Stoves.
This is an opportunity to join a leading retailer in Northamptonshire.
The salary range for full time is £24.5k to £29.5k* including estimated bonus, for a 37.5 hour week.
*(applicants below 21 years of age salary range would be £21.5k to £24.5k, full training would be provided for those with less experience)
We would consider flexible working hours or part time with pro-rata salary (minimum 30 hour week).
Working 5 out of 7 days - currently Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 5pm with 30 minute break for lunch.
Bell of Northampton are a one stop shop for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Fires & Stoves, Tiles & Flooring and Outdoor Leisure. Our beautiful showrooms are in excess of 25,000 sq.ft and include our popular Love Lunch Cafe. Over more than 125 years we have built up a reputation in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties for quality products and service. We operate on a multi channel basis serving Retail, Contract (Developers), and e-commerce clients.
Key aims for the role
- To provide great customer service in all areas of the Fire & Stove/Outdoor living department.
- To assist the team in ensuring the department achieves or exceeds forecast sales and profitability via the smooth and efficient operation of the Fire & Stove department, ensuring high standards of customer service, organisation and merchandising.
- To assist with Order Processing using our CRM software and ensure that all orders are processed efficiently.
- To keep customers fully informed of orders placed and organise deliveries of products.
Skills and Competencies
Required
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- A willingness to learn a thorough knowledge of the Bell F&S offer.
- A passion for customer service, good communication skills.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Organised, with great administration skills.
- Attention to detail and proven numerical and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build good working relationships.
- Ability to work under own initiative and in a team.

Pay: £24,500.00-£29,500.00 per year
