Hours: 15 hours per week, working primarily at weekends, with occasional weekday shifts.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Catering Team Member to join our dedicated team at Bury Hospice.
This rewarding role supports patients, families, visitors, and staff by delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a warm, welcoming environment.
About the role
As a Catering Team Member, you will support the day-to-day delivery of our catering service, preparing and serving meals and refreshments while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
Working closely with the Catering Manager and wider clinical teams, you will help ensure patients receive meals that meet their individual dietary and nutritional needs, while providing a professional and welcoming service to visitors, staff and volunteers.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to patients, visitors and staff
- Support the delivery of meals that meet patients' dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Clean and maintain catering equipment and food preparation areas
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Catering Manager
- Work alongside nursing and clinical teams to support patient needs
- Support and supervise volunteers when required
- Complete mandatory training and contribute to service improvements
About you
- Experience working in a catering, hospitality or food service environment
- Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices
- Friendly, caring and customer-focused approach
- Able to work well as part of a team and independently when required
- Organised, reliable and able to manage a varied workload
- Committed to providing an excellent service and maintaining high standards
- Passionate about making a positive difference to the experience of patients and families
