Job Title: Bar Supervisor
Responsible to: Events Manager / Events Assistant Manager
Responsible for: Bars and Bar Teams
Hours: We are committed to providing you with a minimum of 16 hours per week
Core Statement:
To take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and readiness of Magna's three Big Hall bar areas, ensuring they are fully stocked, clean, well-maintained and prepared for every event. The Bar Supervisor will manage stock control, ordering, rotation and bar presentation whilst leading bar teams during events to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Tasks:
· To supervise the running of the bars throughout each corporate event both during the day and in the evening.
· To supervise and support bar staff, ensuring the highest levels of customer service whilst maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards at all times
· To ensure that drinks service is managed effectively by communicating with the Event Manager.
· To ensure that all three Big Hall bar areas, stock rooms and equipment storage areas are clean, organised, safe, secure and maintained to a high standard at all times.
· To manage stock rotation, minimise waste and ensure stock is used efficiently in line with company procedures.
· To monitor stock levels across all three Big Hall bars and prepare stock order requirements.
· To assist with regular stock counts and report any stock discrepancies.
· To receive, check and store deliveries safely and accurately.
· To maintain appropriate stock levels for forthcoming events.
· To ensure that all three bars are fully prepared before every event, including stock replenishment, glassware, tills, refrigeration, cellar supplies and presentation standards.
· To return all bar areas to operational standards following each event, including cleaning, restocking and securing all stock and equipment.
· To ensure uniform regulations are adhered to at all times ensuring the image of Magna is presented to the highest standards.
· To supervise cash handling and card payment procedures, ensuring accurate till operation, reconciliation and compliance with company financial procedures.
· To ensure compliance with Magna's Premises Licence, Licensing Act requirements and Challenge 25 procedures.
· To undertake all mandatory training and support the training and induction of new bar staff where required.
· To be prepared to work in other areas of the building as and when required.
· To ensure the safety of visitors and staff at all times by adhering to Health and Safety regulations and appropriate codes of safe working practice as laid down by the management. Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety incidents and first aid incidents are reported in line with the Health and Safety policy.
· To undertake other duties as may be required by the Chief Executive, commensurate with the grade and status of the appointment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You may be asked to work occasional evenings, weekend and Bank holidays. Some overnight shifts may also be required.

WAGE
The wage for this role is from £13.12 per hour.
