General Manager – Haar, St Andrews
We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the team at Haar Restaurant, one of Scotland’s most prestigious dining destinations.
Haar is proudly awarded 4 AA Rosettes, with rooms holding 5 AA Gold Stars, and is recognised within the Michelin Guide. The restaurant is also featured in La Liste Top 1000 Restaurants in the World, placing it among an elite tier of global hospitality.

The Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the restaurant and rooms operation. You will drive standards, culture, and commercial success while ensuring every guest experience reflects the level expected of a globally recognised fine dining destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the front-of-house and management team
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences at 4 AA Rosette standard and above
- Oversee daily operations across restaurant and rooms
- Maintain and elevate service, presentation, and attention to detail
- Manage financial performance, budgets, and cost controls
- Work closely with the kitchen leadership to ensure seamless service delivery
- Uphold and enhance the restaurant’s reputation within national and international dining guides
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior management role within high-end or Michelin-level dining
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to build and retain high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of fine dining service standards and guest expectations
- Commercial awareness and experience managing P&L
- Passion for hospitality, detail, and delivering excellence consistently
