Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team within a home care environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to our clients. This role involves supervising care staff, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional senior care. The Senior Care Assistant will play a vital part in fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for all clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes, supporting their health, wellbeing, independence and dignity.
- Supervise and mentor Care Support Workers, carry out spot checks and competency observations, administer medication where trained, maintain accurate care records, and contribute to care planning and risk assessments.
- Monitor clients for changes in their physical or emotional wellbeing, escalating concerns appropriately, while working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, compassionate and effective care is delivered in line with company policies, CQC standards and the values of Infinity Health Group.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a senior care or care home environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Experience in creating and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Competent IT skills for documentation and administrative purposes
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting resident outings or errands related to their care needs
- Knowledge of senior care principles, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation
