Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage or wear and advise customers on necessary repairs or replacements
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Perform routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment and tools
- Assist with wheel alignment and other related vehicle maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or replacements clearly and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of tyre fitting procedures and automotive systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance including tyre rotation, balancing, and repairs
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of tyres and equipment
- Organised approach to work with attention to safety standards
This position is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the automotive industry while delivering high-quality service. Prior experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
