Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our Kitchen Manager in delivering high-quality food services.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and utensils throughout shifts.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following food safety regulations.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Support stock management by organising supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal to uphold a clean working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting.
