Location: Gloucestershire
Contract: 40 hours per week
Shift Patterns: Mon – Sun– alternative weekends
On Call: 1st in line and 1 week out of 5
Pay rate: £37,000

What will the Service Manager role look like for you?
The role requires a strong understanding of clinically led services, with responsibility for overseeing quality assurance, clinical governance, risk management, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement, delivering positive outcomes for the people we support.
You will support the development and implementation of person-centred, evidence-based care and risk management plans, ensuring full CQC compliance. Working closely with staff teams, families, and external professionals, you will promote effective communication and positive outcomes. Experience within mental health or dual-diagnosis services is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to have/be:

A recognised managerial qualification desirable not essential

Lead, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical governance processes.
-
Support individuals with complex clinical needs and ensure staff are competent in delivering specialist care.

Build strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, families, commissioners, and community teams.
-
Promote a positive culture focused on quality, independence, and meaningful outcomes for the people we support.
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Clinical background with experience supporting individuals with complex health needs is preferred, but not essential.

Knowledge and practical experience of supporting individuals with a range of complex healthcare needs, including:
-
Epilepsy management
-
PEG feeding
-
Suctioning procedures
-
Oxygen therapy
-
Stoma care
-
Tracheostomy care
-
Other delegated healthcare interventions
-
Strong understanding of risk management, clinical governance, and person-centred care planning.

Experience completing manual handling assessments and promoting safe moving and handling practices.

Working knowledge of TDDI principles and regulations relating to delegated healthcare tasks.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with individuals, families, professionals, and colleagues.

Good understanding of Gloucestershire-based community healthcare teams, multidisciplinary services, and external healthcare networks.

Experience leading, supervising, and developing teams within health and social care settings.
