New Club
Scotland’s Oldest and most Prestigious Private Members Club is located at 86 Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. Our Historic Club with bedrooms and a busy banqueting operation now requires a Part Time Night Porter to join our Front Desk Team.
Your key responsibilities
- Be responsible for giving our guests and Members the warmest of welcomes.
- Check guests in and out making sure all the necessary information is obtained.
- Assist in the set up and breakdown of meetings and events.
- Ensuring public areas of the Club remain clean, tidy, and presentable
- Assisting with Luggage and offering guidance with on-site car parking.
- Providing the guests with Club information and rules, such as dress-code.
- Clearing any used crockery and glassware from the public areas.
- Vacuum Public areas, clean Bar floors and empty bins.
- Follow safety protocols and report any maintenance issues or hazards.
- Nightly security and fire safety checks
- Light laundry and bottle re-stocking duties.
- Having a similar experience is beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given.
Night Porter hour 9.30pm till 7.00am Thursday - Saturday 27 hours on average per week, with possibility of overtime available.
Candidates with flexibility are appreciated.
Each shift includes a 30 minute unpaid break.
Hourly rate of pay is £13.88 and all gratuities are split monthly.
Additionally the Club operates a generous Staff Bonus which is paid bi-annually to all Staff.
Uniform provided.
