Role: Homes and Communities Officer
Location: Field Based
Salary: £39,500 - £42,000 + 10% annual bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Sage Homes is redefining affordable housing by putting customers at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a Homes & Communities Officer to join our Housing Operations team and help deliver outstanding tenancy and estate management services.
In this role, you will be a key point of contact for residents, supporting them to sustain tenancies, maintain safe and welcoming communities, and access the services they need. You'll manage cases end-to-end, carry out home visits, respond to housing queries, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure positive outcomes.
You will be home-based and must live within the patch, with regular travel across Greater London, Surrey (Kingston + Sutton) North Kent (Gravesham + Dartford) and Watford, and occasional visits to our Covent Garden and Northampton offices. You will need daily access to your own vehicle.
Duties include:
- Deliver customer-focused tenancy and estate management services
- Support residents with housing queries, tenancy sustainment, and community engagement
- Carry out inspections, audits, and onboarding of new sites
- Collaborate with teams to manage safety, compliance, and service delivery
- Advocate for residents and escalate issues where needed
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvements
About you
- Experience in housing management (Housing Association or Registered Provider) is essential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, empathetic approach to customer service
- Experience in providing an excellent housing management service and hold a good understanding of housing legislation(s)
- CIH/IRPM qualification or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for business purposes
