Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Prison Escort to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and recording all items brought onsite, escorting contractors to their designated work areas, and ensuring all tools and equipment are fully accounted for before and after work is completed. This role requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to strict security protocols. We are recruiting for multiple prison sites across the North East region. Candidates may be placed at a single site or offered opportunities to work across multiple locations, depending on site requirements and individual preference.

Duties
- Escort contractors safely to and from designated work areas within prison establishments.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure tools and equipment remain secure and accounted for at all times.
- Record, track, and verify all tools and equipment entering the site.
- Adhere strictly to all prison safety, security, and operational protocols.
- Ensure all items brought into the prison are accounted for and removed upon exit, with no discrepancies.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of tool inventories and movements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within security, facilities support, construction, or a similar environment is desirable, though full training will be provided.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of reliability, professionalism, and integrity.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good communication and observational skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable, depending on location requirements.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (issued within the last 12 months).
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Provide valid identification and right-to-work documentation, such as a passport, birth certificate, photocard driving licence, or share code where applicable.
- Provide proof of address dated within the last 3 months, along with your National Insurance number.
- Supply a full 5-year employment history.
- Successfully pass full prison security clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
