Role Overview
GB Railfreight (GBRF) has established a new Supply Chain Management function. The core purpose of the department is to bring together the previous Procurement and Contract Management functions, combining the experience and expertise of both disciplines into a single integrated team. The department will support GBRF in managing all elements of the supply chain throughout the procurement lifecycle, from the identification of business requirements through to contract expiry or renewal. Its objective is to ensure that supplier relationships are effectively managed to deliver high-quality services and best value, whilst aligning with GBRF's strategic and commercial objectives.
The Supply Chain Administrator will support the Category Managers to support the day-to-day management of the supply chain, providing administrative support across the procurement and contract management lifecycle. The role will help ensure that records, contractual documentation and digital systems are accurately maintained, up to date, and compliant with GBRF's governance requirements.
In addition, the Supply Chain Administrator will build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, coordinate the exchange of information, and support the efficient delivery of procurement and contract management activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Curating of digital systems relevant to the Supply Chain Function, ensuring information is accurate.
- Up date key documentation such as Supplier business review minutes, actions logs and internal project management platforms.
- Engage with the Category Managers to understand current priorities and how best to assist with the preparation of information ahead of tendering activates and supplier engagement meetings.
- Engage with multiple Stakeholders in the business to gather information relevant to work streams with in the supply chain function.
- Management of the Supply chain pipeline, ensuring that information is updated and key decision points are highlighted to the Head of the
- Supply Chain function.
- Management of the Supply Chain Contract repository, ensuring filing is effective and variation records are updated against the required contracts.
- Other Office administrative tasks as required.
