We are hiring for an approximately 6 month project commencing the beginning of September at Longannet Power Station. Tuesday and Thursday mornings 09.30-12.30 so would suit someone looking for part time hours working in with school hours or studies. As a cleaning Operative you will be responsible for the site welfare units. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial environments. Your proactive approach and dedication will ensure that our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and spotless for staff, clients, and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties in commercial settings, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and communal areas according to company standards
- Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete all necessary documentation accurately
- Support team members during busy periods or special cleaning projects as required
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene excellence
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
