The school is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join its friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a primary school while working towards a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
The successful apprentice will primarily support children with their early reading and phonics skills, delivering reading interventions and helping pupils develop confidence and independence. There will also be opportunities to support children with emotional and additional needs.

The Role -
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work closely with teachers and other members of the school team to support pupils' learning, development and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with early reading, phonics and literacy activities.
- Delivering reading interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
- Supporting pupils with emotional and additional needs.
- Encouraging children to interact and work positively with others.
- Supporting learning activities inside and outside the classroom.
- Observing pupils and providing feedback on their progress to teachers.
- Helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Preparing and organising learning resources and equipment.
- Supporting teachers with classroom activities and general administration.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to take responsibility.
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and school trips where required.
- Supporting the use of technology and ICT within learning activities.
- Following school policies relating to safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality.
- Working as a positive and proactive member of the school team.
