As a small business, you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of projects and make a real impact from day one. Rather than being one of many people in a large marketing department, you'll work closely with the business owner and see the direct results of your work.
About the Role
Marketing will be your primary responsibility, with some general administrative support as required.
Typical duties include:
- Creating engaging social media content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Planning and scheduling social media posts.
- Assisting with marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Designing graphics using Canva (or similar software).
- Updating website content and course information.
- Writing blog posts, email newsletters and promotional material.
- Monitoring social media performance and suggesting improvements.
- Assisting with SEO and digital marketing activities.
- Researching local businesses and organisations for marketing opportunities.
- Supporting general administration, including document preparation, email management and maintaining company records where required.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Currently studying (or recently graduated in) Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a related subject.
- Creative with excellent written communication skills.
- Organised and able to work independently.
- Comfortable using social media professionally.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and Canva (or willing to learn).
- Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to bring fresh ideas.
- Interested in helping a start-up business grow.
- Some knowledge of first aid would be beneficial.
Experience with WordPress, SEO, email marketing, Meta Business Suite or Google Analytics would be an advantage but is not essential.
