We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join our client’s food manufacturing operation.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience and a strong mechanical or engineering background. Experience with machine setting, fault finding and machinery maintenance is highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator looking to develop their career within a busy food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating production and manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
- Setting and adjusting machinery to meet production requirements
- Carrying out machine changeovers and adjustments
- Identifying and resolving machinery faults
- Carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
- Monitoring machinery performance during production
- Ensuring products meet required quality standards
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe production environment
- Working to production targets and deadlines
- Reporting machinery faults and maintenance requirements to the relevant team
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant machine operator, production or manufacturing role
- Previous food manufacturing or food production experience is essential
- Experience setting and adjusting production machinery is highly desirable
- Experience fault finding and fixing machinery is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- A background in mechanical engineering, engineering or maintenance is advantageous
- Alternatively, candidates with strong hand tool experience and practical mechanical skills will be considered
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
