Private Client Cilex / Solicitor | Basildon
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner to join our Basildon office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for non-contentious law, including Wills, Probate, and Trusts, to manage their own caseload while providing exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of Wills, Probate, and Trust matters from initial instruction to completion.
- Provide expert advice to clients on estate planning, trusts, and related private client matters.
- Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SRA and Law Society requirements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
- Ensure client files are correctly maintained in line with internal systems and professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
- Contribute to the growth of the department through excellent client service and proactive business development.
About You
- Qualified solicitor with experience in Private Client law, ideally with 2–5 years PQE.
- Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate, and Trusts.
- Exceptional client care skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy caseload efficiently.
- Team player with a collaborative approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
