Business Development Consultant – Dental Plan Provider
Perthshire, Grampian and North of Scotland | Field-Based
Full-Time Position, 35 hours, Monday – Friday
IndepenDent Care Plans UK Ltd (ICP) is seeking a Business Development Consultant to support our dental practice partners across Perthshire, Grampian and the North of Scotland.
Here at ICP, we are looking for a commercially minded and engaging Business Development Consultant to join our experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive the growth of Dental Plan memberships across our member practices, empowering dental practice teams to promote, optimise, and retain plans that enhance both patient loyalty and practice performance. This field-based role focuses on maintaining strong practice relationships and identifying opportunities for new partnerships within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to increase dental plan uptake and retention across ICP’s member practices
- Engage and influence dentists and practice teams to champion dental plans as a key component of practice success
- Support new practice integrations, ensuring smooth plan implementation
- Deliver training sessions on plan benefits, sales techniques, and best practices
- Ensure that practices are fully utilising ICP’s online portal and maximising its functionality to support the efficient day-to-day administration of their dental plans
- Analyse plan performance data using ICP’s bespoke database, producing actionable insights and reports to deliver growth initiatives to practices
- Work closely with practices during any plan conversion, whether moving from one plan provider to another or transitioning from NHS to Plan, ensuring the process runs smoothly and providing hands-on support at every stage
- Collaborate closely with marketing partners to plan, create, and deliver engaging social media content that aligns with brand strategy.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a commercial, business development, or support role ideally within dental, healthcare, or subscription-based sectors
- Strong communication, relationship management, and influencing skills
- Excellent presentation and training delivery experience
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Scotland.
