About the Client:
Our client is a highly respected, multi-disciplinary M&E design consultancy and contracting firm operating from a modern Belfast hub. Known for delivering high-spec sustainable heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical infrastructure packages, they are seeking an ambitious Graduate Building Services Engineer to join their structured professional development programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and configuration of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC systems, pipework routing, and lighting layouts.
- Utilise AutoCAD and Revit MEP to produce, update, and publish accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D schematic models.
- Support senior project engineers with heat-loss calculations, thermal simulations, and technical equipment sizing using Excel and IES software.
- Assist in compiling technical specifications, product submittals, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Attend on-site coordination meetings, survey existing building systems, and support equipment commissioning loops.
- Collaborate across internal design, fabrication, and site-based project delivery teams to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Requirements:
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a highly relevant technical discipline.
- Foundational software skills with exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, or building simulation programs during university coursework.
- Analytical mindset with a strong interest in renewable energy solutions, energy-saving systems, and sustainable building compliance.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills to produce clear engineering reports.
- Valid UK driving licence (or actively working towards one) for occasional site visits.
