For candidates with the right level of experience, we would also consider appointment at Senior Sous Chef level. - Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management and operation of the kitchen.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Assist with menu development, recipe creation, and seasonal specials.
- Help manage stock levels, ordering, food costs, and minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health safety standards.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie looking to take the next step.
- Candidates with significant leadership experience may be considered for a Senior Sous Chef position.
- Banqueting experience is advantageous.
- Strong culinary knowledge and a passion for producing exceptional food.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- The ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Experience in menu development, stock control, food safety, and supporting kitchen operations.
