We are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly, high-performing team at our general and specialist dental practice in Sutton, London. We have a strong specialist focus on implant surgery, endodontics, and periodontics, so this role offers excellent exposure to advanced clinical work alongside general dentistry. You'll play a key part in patient care and the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, working alongside experienced specialists in a supportive, professional environment.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30am–06:00pm.
Duties
- Assist dentists and specialists across a range of procedures, including implant surgery, endodontic, and periodontal treatments, ensuring instruments and materials are prepared and sterile
- Provide attentive, reassuring patient care — explaining treatments, managing anxieties, and ensuring comfort throughout each visit
- Maintain accurate patient records using our practice IT systems (SOE), documenting treatment, observations, and relevant health information
- Uphold infection control protocols, including sterilising equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment
- Support appointment scheduling and patient flow to keep the practice running efficiently
- Communicate clearly with patients in fluent English, answering questions and providing post-treatment guidance
- Keep clinical areas organised and well-stocked ahead of each day's procedures
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse, ideally with exposure to specialist treatments such as implants, endodontics, or periodontics
- Strong understanding of dental patient care principles
- Confident using IT systems for record-keeping and scheduling
- Spoken and written English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical setting
- A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
- GDC registration and relevant dental nursing qualifications
